Tomorrow is the 125th anniversary of what might be the most risky murder in the Whitechapel Murder skein.....a murder that saw the worldwide interest in the East End crimes soar to a new level....that being the murder of Annie Chapman in 29 Hanbury Street.
Lindsay Siviter posted on Sunday on her Facebook page these fine photographs of her laying flowers at Annie Chapman's grave, and at my request kindly gave me permission to post them here. Many thanks, Lindsay!
Lindsay wrote yesterday, "Went to leave some flowers and pay my respects to Annie Chapman today 125 years to the day of her sad murder." In answer to Jenni Shelden's query, "Is that gravestone new?" Lindsay replied, "Put there by the cemetery last year x."
