  • Illustrations Danish book 1963

A librarian colleague pulled me aside and showed me a somewhat rarish Danish book: Tage La Cour, Mord med moral - og uden, privately printed 1963. The crime author la Cour has included a chapter on Jack the Ripper, and in it champions Matters' Dr. Stanley-suspect.

The book is short, 47 pages, and was printed as an assignment at the bookbinding school, which still existed back then, so not many copies are extant. That said, it's not very expensive, I've seen a copy sold for less than 10€.

At any rate, it was illustrated by Mads Stage, a very talented Danish illustrator, and I wanted to share the three drawings he made.
