If I can make a case for stating the bleedin' obvious, as they were unable to even identify three quarters of the victims, how are they able to assert so confidently that the modus operandi was the same in all cases?

Dave....only thing I know is that Krasnoyarsk means 'steep red bank'.
Never heard of the city....has a population of almost 1,000,000.

There were several lesser known serial killers who obtained victims by advertising work opportunities. Prostitutes may be the most available but if a killer has a desire for a certain other type, he will find a way to get them.
