The "anti-semetic" note has finally solved the case? I'm relieved. Although I do find Brown's interpretation a bit confusing, how could we have missed this important proof that Levy was the Ripper?
Like history repeating itself, various "experts" started jumping on the "Kosminski" bandwagon right around the time ...and the Case for Scotland Yard's Prime Suspect came out.
I'm very interested in what we'll learn from Jacob the Ripper. Like with the story of Aaron Kozminski, whether either of these men was a murderer or not doesn't mean their respective stories are not worthy of bringing to light.

Yes. That is referred to in the Express article, which seems to be just recycling the contents of the old documentary. A strange coincidence that it should appear now.

Also interesting that she reached her conclusions about the significance of some of Joseph Hyam Levy's reported remarks before it was generally known that he was a first cousin of Jacob Levy - purely on the basis that they would have known each other because they had the same occupation and lived in the same area.
She was also partly relying on information that was inaccurate or which she had got an inaccurate impression of.

Yes, I think if one accepts what Anderson says, his witness can't have been someone who knew the suspect, let alone was related to him.
If it was Levy, the witness must have been someone else. Though I'd have assumed anyway that it would have to have been either Lawende or Schwartz.

What was always super-suspicious to me was the report that Levy said to his companions he did not like to walk home alone when, "characters like those" were about. When asked about this he passed it off as nothing important. REALLY?
What the heck? "Characters", plural? A man and woman? What were those "characters" known for doing? Did he really see Eddowes and the killer? If so, did Kate have a financial relationship of sorts with the killer? Did she thimble knock on his window and did he meet her in the street? Maybe he dealt in pawned items? Etc. The questions are endless.
I also think far too much imagination has been put into the spelling in the graffiti on the wall. Many London immigrants at that time would have known languages wherein Jew began with Ju..... It is not such a stretch to imagine a bilingual person starting with J, flowing naturally into u, catching the mistake and adding 'wes' or whatever it was. I never remember the misspelling correctly. Also, a little too much effort put into cursive W could make an extra mark that could look like a lower case E.The wickedness of the world is the dream of the plague.~~Voynich Manuscript
