As you are probably aware Mitre Square was/is dominated by the offices and at the time the warehouse of Kearley & Tonge. What many people may not be aware of is the fact that they had another warehouse in Durward Street, formerly Bucks Row. This was situated at the western end overlooking the District line station.

Its not common knowledge, but us who "look at buildings that aren't there anymore" are aware.

Jeff, K&T were a supplier, not a retailer. I've not heard of any offices besides the two we know about. I've certainly got a fair few old tins and the like from K&T and every one of them is stamped Mitre Square. It's not significant, but it's certainly a coincidence.

Not sure of the significance of this. I think it is mere coincidence, just as the murders occurred in a heavily Jewish neighborhood but that doesn't necessarily mean the Jews were either the targets or involved in the murders. Kearley and Tonge themselves clearly did not do the murders and it seems more likely that they were just locations near where the murders occurred... just like there were Board Schools near the murder sites, e.g., in Buck's Row and Berners Street but we clearly would not find a connection between the killings and the schools, would we?
