On September 19th, the Forums will celebrate its eighth birthday on the web...
Over the next eight days, if people would like to...there's no obligation....if you would like to share your thoughts on what have been some significant Ripper related discoveries shared here or other Ripper related stories....please do so.

    Thank you.

I think your publication of the O'Donnell manuscript was quite a coup, How.

I just realised that I joined only 6 days after the launch. You still haven't sent the Cadillac.

Many congratulations, Howard and everyone involved. For my money, one of the biggest contributions you have made on the site is to chronicle the untold number of mentions of Jack the Ripper in newspapers worldwide, and how the case featured in so many lives across the globe unrelated to the actual crimes in the East End of London. It has been an eye opener for me to read the articles in so many newspapers from far and wide that have had some reference to Jack the Ripper.

      All the best

Robert, didn't you look under your seat as Howard told you to do?

He's probably taken it away by now. . .

Actually it wasn't a Caddy, it was a Rolls.

I remember the very first caption contest, in which only you and I entered. You came in last, as I recall.

I've been here pretty much the whole time so it's hard to name a single favourite achievement, so i'll just wish the forums a happy birthday and once again congratulate everyone on the hard work they've done to make it what it is!

            Hip-hip, hooray!

            Cheers,
            Adam.

Congratulations to our Fuhrer, who has promised that he will not take off his socks until he wins the caption contest.

I have to apologize for not posting as many articles in the last two weeks...because I've been pretty tired from work.
Stuff is there....but I've been beat...I'll get back in action very shortly.

                            Happy Birthday to the forum

There's been quite a number of significant discoveries just during my time on the forum so I won't single any single one out

Many thanks to the people who have made it easier for me to visualise the area of Whitechapel/Spitalfields which is a great aid in attempting to understand the case

Thanks Howard, Nina and Tim and admin for running such a great forum

A lot has been accomplished in only 8 years I think
