  • Help Request : Kosminski's Brother In Law

    Folks:

Which brother in law appeared with Aaron Kosminski at that 1889 court appearance ( walking the dog without a leash) ?

    Was it Woolfe Abrahams ?

How it was Woolf, but Woolf was his brother, not his brother-in-law.

      Bob:
The A To Z says he was his brother in law, buddy.
He married Aaron's sister, Betsy and had 7 children.

      Is this in error ?

        Bob:
You're right....I looked it up in Rob House's book and Woolf Abrahams was his brother.
        Thank you.

How, maybe you're using an out of date A-Z. Woolf was Aaron's brother - research by Chris Phillips and Rob House has proved this.

I know Bob...I just acknowledged that.
I have the new A To Z....page 12 of the hardback.

Unfortunately it was still wrong in the latest edition.

I don't think we can say for sure whether it was Woolf or Isaac, though it seems more likely to have been Woolf because the following year Aaron was admitted to the workhouse from Woolf's address.

                    Hi Howard
The Abrahams entry has been removed from the latest edition of the A to Z and Woolf is clearly identified as Aaron's brother in the entry for Kosminski.
                    Cheers
