  • Keeping Up With The Jones * Following Members' Posts

For those who would like to keep up with certain members posts....here's an easy way of doing so.

One : Click on 'Community' on the toolbar above....click on 'Member's List'.....then click on the member's name

Two: Look to the far right and click on 'Show all statistics'

Three: Now go to the far left and click on 'Find all posts by.."

Let's use Debra Arif's posts to illustrate.

Although that doesn't bring up all past messages, How. I mentioned this a couple of years ago that when you click on 'find all posts by' it brings up a a small amount of past posts (one year maximum?). For example, when I click it for me, I only get posts I made in 2017, yet I joined here officially ten years before that. Is there a way to get all the posts to display?

Mine only go back to November 2017, which covers my last 500 posts.

        Debs:

Unfortunately, the maximum number of posts accessible is 500 using this system ...the software developers set it up that way......

Thanks, How. Is there any way to search the archives with specific words or phrases rather than just trawling the posts? Google doesn't pick up older research in the way it used to anymore.

            Debs:

This is what we get when we enter Grainger in the 'search' box above....and click on 'threads'

            The threads yield 194 results
The posts, however, tally at least 500 results.

It is frustrating....but its the best we can expect from the message board software.

Thanks, How. I was just wondering (hoping) if there was an easier way to find older posts that's all.
