  • Uk Conference 2007

Does anyone know where and when the UK Conference is? I would love for it to be somewhere in West End London, however, there already was a Liverpool one, right? I heard Guildford, I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think another good place for the UK Conference would be Bournemouth - but there already was one there too. Hmmmmmmmm..........

Does anyone else have any ideas?

        Hello Karen

We're aiming to make an announcement in a couple of months' time, so that there's at least a year before the event itself (probably first week October 2007).

        Best wishes

            Hi all

Claudia, Andy and myself have narrowed the venues down to a shortlist of one and pending a couple of onsite checks will be making an announcement soon...

A short list of one is a very short list indeed!

                      It sure is Robert...

Suzi, if you're getting impatient, the delay is caused by Robert submitting enormous articles for the Rip which require extensive layout time... nearly there now though...

                          Hi Robert

If you want to know the amount of effort Adam has put into formatting your article, just look at the pained expression on the face of the flat-capped bloke in Adam's avatar!!!

The cap wasn't always flat - a printout of the article fell on his head.

                              Thanks for the comments Robert.

The photo in my avatar is of my Great Grandfather Benjamin Wood, who lived in Bacon St, off Brick Lane, in 1888. The family oral history is that he heard that "there'd been another Ripper murder and ran to see the body"... probably untrue, but Hanbury Street would have been 5 minutes away from the family home.

This pic is from circa 1900.

I suspect if he was told that his Great Grandson was laying out a internet-based magazine viewed in minutes by readers around the world he'd have to go lie down in a dark room...
