Jan Bondeson's "The London Monster: A Sanguinary Tale" is also an interesting insight into the world of 18th century London.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

      Thank you String,

I'm gonna start by ordering the one on Naval Impressment from the library. A small morsel. Compared to let's say, John Sugden's Nelson, Vol I. which is very good. I'm resting a little before Vol II. I like naval and sea history of all types.

But yes the list shows Jerry White has a new big one on that era. I read his big one on the 1800's. And it was very good.

I keep saying I want non-fiction and biography writers to write shorter, more concise books. And they don't. So I keep reading the big giant books they write anyway. And enjoy them anyway.

      Roy

ps thanks for the tip AW
