  • New book claims Hitler escaped his Berlin bunker and died in South America

The Fuhrer fled to Argentina and then Paraguay before settling in the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso to hunt for buried treasure with a map given to him by Vatican allies, according to an author.

There was always that claim that Hitler and Eva were aboard one of those German submarines that were still operating after V-E day, the last of which did not surrender until late August of 1945, after Japan's surrender. One of those submarines is suspected of torpedoing and sinking an Allied ship in July of 1945.

Hitler's favourite composer was Bach? What happened to Wagner?

Indeed - just goes to show the quality of this book's research. Wagner, Bruckner, Beethoven... Hitler loved that kind of bombast. I can't see the baroque piety of Bach appealing to him in quite the same way.
        Kind regards, Sam Flynn

Surely everyone knows he was abducted by aliens and is still living on the far side of the moon.

Given the condition that he was in during the months leading up to his supposed suicide in 1945 at the age of 56, even if he had escaped Berlin, I doubt that he would have lived much past 60.

I for one don't entirely discount the idea that he escaped, it does have some merit to it, but these ideas of him going to South America and dying at a ripe old age are fairly far fetched to say the least. There was a popular theory going around some time ago that he died in Argentina in 1989 aged 100.

An Australian author named Fred McKenzie wrote a couple of books back around the 90's which suggested that Hitler escaped to Spain where he died in 1947 - if he did escape, which is questionable enough in itself, then at least that sounds a tad more realistic.

            Cheers,
            Adam.

There's a book called Grey Wolf that I purchased not too long ago which claims both Adolf and Eva Braun escaped and made it to Argentina.

I don't know how accurate the book is (I haven't had a chance to read it cover to cover) but It does seem interesting and I have always wondered if the Fuhrer did in fact leave Berlin.

Just so you know, it has been proved that the jawbone in a museum located in Moscow, long thought to be Hitler's, has been conclusively proven to not be from him.

                  Chancellery bunker

This German link offers some good photography on the Chancellery bunker. Found it some time ago, and would like to share it with you guys, just in case it was missed.

Thanks Elaine. I bet Adolf was glad he escaped that dump, and made it to the treasure hunt - that is, until Anneke Rice got the job.

There isn't anything left of the original bunker in Berlin now apparently - it's long since been filled in. In fact I seem to recall reading that there was a playground on top of the area where it would have been!

                      Cheers,
                      Adam.

It was found after the Berlin wall came down, it was excavated by archeologists before it was buried.

From those pictures it did look like a dump. Hardly the place for the leader of the new world order. I wonder was it a bit more comfortable at one time.

I seem to recall they found grotesque murals depicting Nazi supermen, that looked like they'd come straight out of a Superman comic.

Superman Comics were the creation of two Jewish cartoonists or comic book artists or whatever the hell you call them....I dunno.
What I do know is that they wisely used me as the model for their legendary comic book.
