"Titanic: Blood and Steel," a 12-part mini-series starring Sir Derek Jacobi as Lord Pirrie and Chris Noth ("Sex and the City") miscast as J. P. Morgan, began running last night on the Encore cable channel here, with the first two parts being aired. Those first two segments will be repeated next Sunday. The series was shot in Ireland and Serbia with a partially Italian cast. I thought it was pretty well done although not in the same class acting-wise, as Julian Fellows' "Downton Abbey" but nonetheless more straightforward, if slower paced, than Fellows' own "Titanic" mini-series which had a choppy and disorganized plot structure. See the review "'Titanic: Blood and Steel' Shows There Are Still Stories to Be Told About the Titanic" by Jackie K. Cooper on Huffington Post.
