  • Has anyone else seen "Still Crazy"?

One of the best rock n roll comedies ever made. All star cast, great soundtrack, plenty of laugh out loud moments and some genuinely touching scenes.

Call me a heretic if you will, but I actually think this movie is funnier than Spinal Tap.

It's a crime that this isn't widely available on DVD.

"Still Crazy" was released when I was working at the video shop and it bombed. It rented really badly and I recall seeing hundreds of ex rentals sold off for very little!

I must admit that the first time I rented it, it was only because it had Billy Connolly in it. It's more of an ensemble cast, but Connolly's performance is hilarious. It's a shame it never got the attention it deserves.

The soundtrack is especially good, since even though it's a comedy, the music is taking very seriously--no hint of parody or jokiness.

Checking out the reviews on IMDB, I guess a lot of people liked the movie too It's a very "English" comedy though, so I wonder how our American cousins feel about it.

Sorry for the slow response to your question, but I haven't seen it. On your recommendation, I'll see it either at the theater or when it comes out on disc.

Hi How. Sorry I missed this. The movies about 10 years old--It's out of print on DVD though, so if your local big-box video store dont' have it, you're probably SOL.

I'll look out for it. I'm a fan of Billy Connolly, and I think "Spinal Tap" is great so if this is as good or better, I'll probably like it. Thanks for the tip, Magpie.
