            It wasn't that interesting, John. It just showed snippets of a 1930s documentary on slum clearance which I've seen complete somewhere on the net courtesy of the British Film Institute.

            Maybe someone can provide a link to this.

                Ah yes, the recent upload of the 15-minute piece on poor living conditions. OK, I won't upload and convert it, then.

                However, this does bring to mind this ARENA programme from 1983 - which must surely exist on video - which showed (in full, I believe) a piece on the slums of Whitechapel specifically and was shot in the 1930s.
