Its been a while since one of us booted this thread up, with all the new finds and excellent repartee going on.

However, one that stands out in my mind at the moment is the recent provision of the 1891 census by the one and only Rob Clack, found here :

    http://www.jtrforums.com/showthread....201#post116201

Sometimes in life and in Ripperology....people that are too close to the action can't see the trees for the forest. I think that his post shows exactly that. None of the old "Gang of Four" noticed this or even bothered to investigate Vittoria Cremers claim of living at Mrs. Heilmann's in 1891...but thankfully Rob looked into it.

I suppose Cremers could have moved there after the 1891 census was taken....but at least we know now that she didn't appear on the census when it was taken in 1891.

A big thanks to Rob for taking the time and trouble of sharing this information.

Nina Brown may have found the explanation of the mysterious "Chinese Slug" that D'Onston Stephenson told Vittoria Cremers was the cause for his stint in the London Hospital in 1888

                http://www.jtrforums.com/showthread....643#post118643

A very good effort on Nina's part

I think that what Nina found does explain the mystery of the Chinese slug.
