        I wondered that, Debs, but the page, which is a sort of gossip column, doesn't say, and the following page is a 'cartoon'. I didn't have time to look further. At the time there was much discussion about Adolf Beck and doubles, Sims declaring that the Beck case was a travesty of justice, which is was.

          I think the Beck case is what spurred Grande on with his continued denial that he was Christian Neilson.
