    Lombroso examined the brain of a murderer and rapist in 1876

    MURDERER'S BRAIN EXAMINED-

    Berlin, Monday;

    Peter Kurten, thc Dusseldorf Jack the Ripper, was executed at Cologne. Ten minutes afterwards three eminent scientists examined his brain in an endeavour to probe the secret of the criminal impulse of the world's worst murderer. The body was sent to Berlin where scientists will analyse the organs to search for abnormal conditions which may account for his diabolical crimes.
