Oh Florrie May
Oh Florrie Brick
Please hurry home
For Jim is sick.
Eve tricked Adam with the apple,
You tricked Jim with loathsome scrapple.
Jim he blames the arsenic
And yells "Flo, get the nuns in quick
For I must miss my commerce function
And stay at home for extreme unction."
But neither gilded church nor chapel
Can fight the hell of loathsome scrapple.
Too late, alas, for Jim is dead.
His lips turned blue, his face turned red,
Doomed no more to fight and grapple
With Florrie Maybrick's loathsome scrapple.

LOL, Robert! (I'm beginning to fear my own sense of humor since I think you are the best humorist of all of us. Your sense of humor is like mine only worse.)
Anyway, scribble that verse into an old scrapbook and stuff it under a loose floor board. Never know what might happen!

Thanks Anna. I'll add a few things like "I must have my cup of tea" and "No sausages? - no sausages!?"
CUTE! (You have no idea what your sense of humor has to do with my votes in the contest. It would be so easy to give you three votes every week because about everything you say is immediately funny. Then I go through everything again and re-judge based on complexity, depth of thought, originality, etc. You and I seem to have the same sense of humor--scary thought-- except I am no good at verse.)

Thanks Anna. I laugh at a broad range of people - the Goons, Tony Hancock, Morecambe and Wise, Dad's Army, Peter Cook, Monty Python, etc. But the absolute kings for me are Stan and Ollie.

I love Stan and Ollie!
Otherwise, one of the funniest sketches I have ever seen is Monty Python's, about collecting bodies on the pest wagon during the plague. "But I'm not dead yet." "Shut up, you will be..." At least that's how I remember it.

I keep on hearing that you have murdered me but you won't fix me just yet. I have laughed when you look so clever and talk about being on the right track. Grand work the last job was but it wasn't me who got done in. I love my shed and want to start cataloguing my football memorabilia. The next job I do I shall leave my washing on the floor just for jolly wouldn't you.
