    Excuse my ignorance, but has an insane Russian scientist ever been mentioned before as a suspect?

      Dear Karen;

      This article is an example of how stories get a little or a whole lotta twisted and eventually get into print.

      There have been ,as we know, references to Russian suspects...and usually they're alleged agents of Ochrana or Russian doctors. The murderer Vassili was one of the first contemporaneously theorized suspects...I believe as early as in late 1888 or early 1889.

      However, I've never heard of a Russian scientist until this article.

        Not just my ignorance then!
        I have of course read about other Russian suspects before, but no, not a scientist.
