  • The Bride of John Williams....

The International Express this week has an article on an upcoming book that apparently claims that the Ripper was the wife of Sir John Williams.
"The Men who were not the Man who was not Jack the Ripper!"

Jack the Ripper: The Hand of a Woman by John Morris was reviewed by Paul Begg in Ripperologist 125.

Here is part of Paul wrote:

"Basically, the author and his father concluded that Jack the Ripper was a woman and settled on Mary Elizabeth Ann Williams, although for no good reason that I can now recall other than suggesting that she killed as a reaction to her husbandís infidelity."

Paul finds a number of faults with Morris's research, including a dependency on statements made by Donald McCormick.

Paul concludes, "Encountering such basic errors and questionable details so early in the book didn't inspire one to think that the theory would cut the mustard, and it didn't. The collector will want this one; otherwise, save your tenner."

The main problem of the book is the large dependency on research already disproven suggesting SJW was JTR
