In this link below you'll see four names mentioned early on as being agents provocateurs. Three of them were Jews, one a Polish Catholic.
They were all utilized by the Russian Secret Police in the 1910's and in years ahead.......


In LeQueux's story, two people assisted this Pedachenko and both have, from what I can gather, essentially Jewish surnames....Levitski and Winberg.

Would the Okhrana have employed Jews to work for them in 1888 ?
