I’ll want a plush Winnebago with on-demand pie and mash and best bitter.

If that’ s too hard on Edwards budget, I promise to chip in.

              Did someone mention chips?

Did poor Mama's silly dreaming plant in my brain some seed which was afterwards to grow into the most sensational criminal endeavour of the century?

I’m assuming the Ma episode will be filmed in Hereford. A room in an ancient hostelry with a view of the Cathedral would be nice. And, of course, a mini-bar filled with bottles of best bitter and smorgasbord.

Wouldn’t it be great if John Lechmere’s Anatomical Boot shop has been converted into a Wetherspoons? And even if it hasn’t, we could pretend it has. The Moon Over The Minster.

Note: It seems there is a Wetherspoons in Hereford. It is situated in Butchers Row, Commercial Road*. And it has a connection to Nell Gwynn.

                  * I think that’s in Stepney. But don’t quote me on that until I’ve checked it out with Lord O.

That's the Half Moon in Mile End Old Town. As nobody ever called it except the Verger.
                    A smorgasbord?
                    How very continental.

A lot of Wetherspoons pubs have ‘Moon’ in their name. I think it stems from the Moon Under Water, the ideal pub imagined by George Orwell. Our Romford example is the Moon and Stars, and there’s J. J. Moons in Hornchurch.

The smorgasbord reference was a nod to Christer.

Wake us up when you get to a million… ;-)

                              Seriously, well done!

Although not everybody finds him entirely credible, Lechmere must surely be the most high profile suspect these days. Who comes remotely close in terms of discussion and debate?

They certainly can’t get enough of him over on Casebook.

His Old Ma is one of my favourite ‘Ripper’ subjects.
