Tumblety....Or Someone Impersonating Him ( 1890 )

Tumblety can be located in November of 1890 ( Washington, D.C....caught with a 'boy' )....but at the moment I can't seem to pin him down anywhere else in 1890.

This might be noteworthy in that respect...that here we find him in St. Louis 5 months before the sordid affair in D.C. during November.

However, it might also be noteworthy for something else.

Could someone have used Tumblety's credentials as suggested in the article ?

If you know of any other place Tumblety was in 1890.....please chime in.

Jon Menges points out that Tumblety was able to read this Arkansas newspaper's remarks about him in March of 1890 ( Arkansas borders Missouri, for your information) and respond to it.

The Post-Dispatch's rival, The St. Louis Republic, pins him down in St. Louis ( one of their reps knew him ) in mid-April.
We can call the dogs off....because it was Tumblety and not an impersonator.
