Interesting finds there Stewart...Was this from this new Victorian Newspaper thing?

I wonder what 'the means he had to destroy all means of his identity' were-? A touch of the Haighs maybe or a touch of insanity and a few hours on the sauce in Dirty Dicks*!

Frank the Raper... though.. doesn't have the same ring?? (sorry!)

Seriously though- fascinating......wonder who the 'man arrested in Southwark' with "no intelligence" given to the police....odd that........... or maybe not....

        * Where was that in/near Liverpool St???- Come in Clacky et al.

These are all from my old scrapbooks that I have had for years but rarely look at.

Thanks Stewart- Get those scrapbooks out!! - The Conway/change of name to Quinn etc references are very thought provoking...especially as to the two sons etc etc

              Thanks

              Suz

So 'Mrs Phillips' was Thomas Conway's daughter or did I get that wrong there...where does she fit in??

Interesting that she was 'seen' to leave the house and return with some milk- could that be a Maxwell 'mistake' there?

What newspaper did these come from Stewart?

                        Wow !

The police forces were far more alert than some might think,eh Mr. E?

That the constable ( In Ireland too !!!) arrested a man with a woman and child in tow is startling....at least to me.

Its easy to see, therefore, how a Tumblety, regardless of what "reason", might be picked up for affecting a slouch hat in light of this article.

Many thanks for the generosity,Mr. E.
