    http://www.nytstore.com/ProdDetail.aspx?prodId=9397

Complete ORIGINAL four-page newspaper, the London Evening Star (England), dated Sept. 4, 1888. This local London newspaper contains an inside page report on the murder of Anne Nichols by an unknown person who would come to be known as Jack the Ripper.

Because the Star was an evening newspaper, it had “same day news” related to the "Whitechapel Fiend" or the "East End Murderer" known in the press as Jack the Ripper. The Star was a popular newspaper with the masses, containing sensational detailed coverage of the worst side of human nature, and the best coverage of criminals like "Jack the Ripper."
