That's okay, I've missed them a few times.

    Dial 999

Dial 999 is a British T.V. series from 1958-1959 starring Robert Beatty as a Royal Canandian Mounted Policeman posted to Scotland Yard. There are 39 half hour episodes and to be honest it's not that great. However there is a location filming in the series. Mostly around the London outskirts. But occasionally you get the odd gem of an episode like 'Rat Trap' filmed around the Cable Street area. Wellclose Square is featured a lot and there are a few side streets filmed as well. Nothing particular Ripper connection but great to look at that area in the late 50s.

Some now and then photos from that episode http://avengerland.theavengers.tv/Dial999/99930.htm

Another episode featured Old Montague Street and Black Lion Yard and some filming around Commercial Road http://avengerland.theavengers.tv/Dial999/99928.htm

The series is on the UK Channel Talking Pictures and is available on DVD.
