I like to point out significant historical moments that happened between the birth of two people.

For example, I'll point out to my wife that she was born before the first Moon Landing and I was born after it. She's 2 months older than me.

Chris, that might have to do with the way history is taught nowadays. E.g. my niece's GCSE history course included the Cold War and the South African apartheid regime. I think the oldest element of the course was the section on Jack the Ripper.

Looks like I am the oldest on the forum (71). I well remember when Queen Elizabeth was coronated! And when Franklin Roosevelt was President of the USA!
