    Thanks How....

You can strangle yourself by hanging I guess, but not sure about Rose...

Mylett was found strangled,Currerbell. Anderson didn't say suicide..my mistake...he said natural causes.

Hard to understand how someone strangles themself with their collar.

Anderson mentioned in his "The Lighter Side of My Official Life" in that had it not been for the JTR "scare" that this crime would have not been included in the list of Whitechapel Murder victims.

    Oh my apologies Howard -

I always thought Rose's death a trifle strange where they couldn't make up their mind if it was suicide/accidental/murder/a Ripper crime...

Buddy,I had answered Doug's question. It was theorized by SRA that Mylett's death was self inflicted.

Since the Barlow and Watts show was a longer series and was bound to be more factually based, it probably covered some of the other "Whitechapel murders" so if as you think it could have been Rose Mylett they were talking about, I would think it was that show. The Michael Caine show wraps up with MJK's murder as I recall.

    Hello dougie

The Barlow and Watt TV series on the Ripper case was a different animal to "Jack the Ripper" starring Michael Caine as Abberline that aired on TV at the time of the Centennial of the case in 1988. The six-part TV series starring the detectives from "Softly Softly" aired 15 years ealier in 1973. In the Barlow and Watt version they were the modern detectives reviewing the evidence and police work of 1888, while the Michael Caine two-part mini-series was set in 1888.

    All the best

    Chris

As I recall ,the Barlow and Watt docudrama had Caine stating that the suspected suicide related to one of the canonical 5 (god I hate that phrase)
    Currerbell,
    What question was that?
