    Yes, Sam and thanks for the tip. John Williams skull was displayed at the Crown & Dolphin. After the body was found by workmen digging in the street many years later.

      Is the Crown & Dolphin still a going concern? It looks a bit worse for wear in that photo.

          • They are referring to "A gentleman residing in a fashionable suburb of Edinburgh has dreamt three times of Jack the Ripper, who is apparently a dispensary doctor in the neighborhood, it may be presumed of Whitechapel. Mr. Stuart Cumberland also dreamt of him and drew hits portrait for his own periodical The Mirror and the Edinburgh dreamer has recognized the portrait as that of the very man.

                I notice that, whilst they pick up on the property's undoubted charm and historicity, they don't actually mention its macabre past. That's estate agents for you!
