  • Okay...here's one :

Harriet Freshwater, Harriet Root, and Ellen Smith.

What do these three women have in common ? It has to do with what they had said to someone before being brought before their respective local courts and fined.

    • I haven't a clue on this one. I've never heard of any of them. Because you actually called me over to the thread I'm sort of assuming it's Holmes/Doyle related?

      • Mike:

        No, it isn't Holmes related.

Actually, these three women were charged with assault...and had said to their victims just prior to the assaults, "I'm going to play Jack The Ripper on you !!".

          • This one will be no problem but I'll try it.

In TV or film which actor played Sherlock Holmes with the greatest gap of years between portrayals?

I just tap the screen randomly until something interesting happens.

                    This is what happened?

Is it something to do with me having an IPad (dumb question I assume?)

I hilighted copied then pasted and the above happened!

                    Sorry about this

I'd say, click on the URL twice, then 'copy', then click once in the post and 'paste'.

And then ask How to clear up the mess.

That's my usual 'cunning plan' Gary but I think that I'm sorted now. It just didn't look like a proper link until I clicked 'submit reply,' combined with the fact that I make your average caveman look like Bill Gates!

                          • Bill Gates:

You did it. The link you posted is kosher.
