The reason that I said that Robert was close with Peter Cushing was that it was Christopher Lee. He played Holmes in The Deadly Necklace in 1962 and then again in 1991 in a TV movie called The Leading Lady.

Trivia time once again....get those dunce caps tightened.
In this paper :
Cleveland Plain Dealer January 12, 1912
Henry Irving, the British actor, is quoted as having referred to Hall Caine by what nickname :
A. Old Poofpants
B. Her Majesty
C. The Red Haired Dynamo
D. Old Shakespeare
E. 'Fuzzy'
F. The Manx MountebankTo Join JTR Forums :

Old Poofpants was Howard's Great Grandpappy. Old Shakespeare was Carrie Brown. Fuzzy seems too modern, ditto red haired dynamo - sounds more like Alan Ball. I suspect How got Manx Mountebank from this :

So I'll plump for Her Majesty.
