Funny you should say that, I was in Mitre Sq, either 71 or 72, and that is just how I remember it.

I worked in Mitre Sq. in 66/67, the only difference I can see is the double yellow lines (which every driver seems to have ignored), probably because it was a weekend?

The presence of a Range Rover puts it as no earlier than about 1971/2. The feature on the right (the railings) was the fire escape for the adjacent building. The site of the murder is out of sight behind the wall on the right.

I think those stairways that are visible are akin to George Yard buildings/ Model dwellings
