Good day all,
Many of you will be aware that I have been researching The Murder in Bucks Row for some time now. So far this has all been posted over on Casebook. However I am aware that not all from here go there and vice versa.
I would like to firstly let as many as possible see the work and secondly love comments from those who have not commented so far.
There are two ways of doing this: either I repost the whole work so far, here, which I am happy to do, but which means duplication of lengthy threads, or I just post links here.
I have decided for the time being just to post links to the relevant threads on Casebook, however if there were demand I would happily post here too.
The one advantage of posting all again would be the work would have the various corrections included that I have already made, but which are not included in the casebook originals.
To date there have been two parts:
"The Bucks Row Project".
Dealing with mapping issues, distances and timings, very dry and I agree somewhat subjective.
And "The Bucks Row project Part 2".
This again is fairly dry, it is an attempt to gather witness statements and other sources relating to bucks row into one place. there is a little commentary and a few suggestion, some of which i feel are indeed possible and other not so, however this was done to get a debate on some issues, which has indeed happened.
The 3rd section will be posted here and on casebook, it will be the in-depth analysis and discussion following on from the first two sections, on the events in and around Bucks Row on 31st September 1888.
I hope this will be on interest to some.
Many thanks
Steve
