    My mom was born in 1915. She remembered even then that Tom Thumb weddings, children dressed as bride and groom emulating Tom and his bride the century before, were still staged. I remember her talking about those when I was a little girl.

        It only works in the UK due to "rights issues".

        It's funny how some things are prohibited and most things are allowed. I see a lot of great videos on YouTube from all over the world and lots of British films and documentaries. Very little is prohibited.

        I listen to a lot of performances by a certain opera star. In the YouTube repertoire there is one song, this performer singing a common Christmas carol, which is heavily protected and disallowed to U.S. listeners. What the heck?
