My system won't let me go to that site but it looks like it is about lost gold (mine). There are several lost gold finds in the general area. South and west of Carter Lake, on or near the coast, is Gold Beach where gold had washed down from mountains to the sea. This is all on the west side of the Cascade Mountains.
