Some really good artist that works with the human face ought to work from the mortuary photo to make a nice portrait of poor Liz. That IPN drawing is disrespectful, especially considering elements of that "portrait" can be found in other IPN drawings of MEN. I think Liz must have been fairly pretty.

        Hi Anna,

In the absence of a ‘really good artist’ I’ve decided to have a go at a portrait of Liz. I’ll make my excuses first in that I’ve never tried to do a portrait that wasn’t an attempt to simply recreate what was in front of me so I’m more than a little wary. I also need to apply a ‘new’ hairstyle and get it right because she’s ‘looking’ slightly to one side. Excuses out of the way I’m going to give it a go so wish me luck.

My other issue is that I’ve never been able to post images (only a link to one) so if Howard can give me an email address that I could send it to when it’s done he could maybe post it on here? Unless it’s that bad that I don’t want to reveal it of course.
        Regards

        Michael🔎

I’ve just learned from Kattrup how to resize an image by emailing to myself so I’ll be able to post the finished portrait.
          Regards

Do we know what colour eyes Liz had?

                Damn!

Id gone with Brown. I’ll have to see if I can get away with changing it or I may have to begin again.

                Thanks Karsten.

I’m not at all happy with my attempted ‘Liz Stride’ sketch. I’m used to being fairly sure that I’ve got a portrait right (like my avatar) but that’s not the case here so I’m out of my comfort zone by a mile. Someone used to ‘recreating’ a face would make a much better job of it. Anyway here it is.
