    Hi All,

    Dr. James Rubie, editor of the London Evening News throughout the Whitechapel murders, was an interesting chap.

    Here's the announcement of his appointment—

    No, the typesetter wasn't schnockered. The clipping is from the Phonetic Journal, 25th February 1888.

    And here's Dr. Rubie's obituary from The Times, 29th July 1940—

      Rubie's predecessor, Frank Harris, was also quite a notorious figure
