    This one has it all.

    Malcolm Hailey, Baron Hailey of Shahpur in the Punjab and Newport Pagnell in the County of Buckingham. A peer of the realm who assembled his own personalised vampire-slaying kit in the late 19th century, containing "crucifixes, a matching pair of pistols, brass powder flask, holy water, Gothic Bible, wooden mallet, stake, brass candlesticks, rosary beads and Metropolitan police paperwork from the period." Later an eminent colonial administrator and governor of the Punjab and of the United Provinces in India.

    Reaching for my copy of the Suspectologists' Handbook, I eagerly checked his whereabouts in the Autumn of 1888. Charterhouse Square in the City of London!

    But alas, he was only 16 years old at the time of the murders. Still, Jack the Ripper as a teenage vampire slayer might be an angle worth considering ...
