    I don't know about anyone else, but the number of people frightened to death by the actions of others and their own thought processes initiated by the Ripper is, in my view, a good indicator of how much of an impact these murders had on local and people distant to the epicenter.

    I'd wager quite a few more unreported instances occurred as well......
