    Thanks, How, that’s very interesting. It seems the victim’s name was Clara Sophia Heard. One account states that she was attacked in Duval (Dorset) Street. The injury was to the ‘lower part of her body’.

      On 20th July, she was taken from the London Hospital to the Whitechapel Infirmary by PC310H. Her condition was recorded as ‘debility’ and she was discharged on 10th August.

      On 27th January, 1909 she was again delivered to the Infirmary by a PC. This time she was suffering from bronchitis. Sadly she died there on 4th Feb.

        I think she may have been the Clara Evans who married Mark Heard at Christchurch Spitalfields in 1891. At the time both were living at 8, White’s Row as guests of a certain Mr Crossingham.
