Quite a lot, not least of which is that Reid lived on for another 18 years.

        Very good Bob....that's the answer.

Besides the statement that Warren showed off a photo of the GSG......Reid lived until December 1917.

You get the prize as stipulated.....a 1944 Hudson Terraplane

        Enjoy, brudda.....

But didn't they stop making them in 1938?

            Shit...you figured out the scam.

            Howzabout a 1958 Edsel ?
You know what they said the front end of an Edsel looked like, don't ya ?
Well, don't be one of them...and accept it.

I thought you meant "at the time of the "Jack the Ripper" Murders in 1887-1888"

                Katt:

That line : "at the time of the "Jack the Ripper" Murders in 1887-1888"

isn't too unusual.....but the part at bottom about the GSG being photographed and Warren whipping out a copy of it is. I can't recall that being in an article before.

But the real killer is that Reid lived for another 18 years.

The Evening Telegraph fact checker must have taken off work that day......

Tell you what.....here's a consolation prize : The original bath tub of Jean Paul Marat

Its been sitting in storage and he sure as hell ain't going to use it again.

You've gotta give credit where credit is due....

While the Evening Telegraph may have screwed the pooch concerning Reid's obituary.....they did get this right...and may I say...this is the earliest I can recall seeing the suggestion as to Warren's successor being made in the British press.....and correctly at that.
