Apologies if this is old news but Abberline's sister spent 11 months in Bethlehem Hospital. from 1869 to 1870. Her illness was melancholia. One of the sureties was Julia Okedon, landowner, of Turnworth House, Blandford. Miriam had been a nursemaid in the Okedon household in 1861. Julia must have given her a good reference because in 1871 she is back nursemaiding, this time for the Blyth family in West Ham.
