  • Criticisms of Sir Charles Warren ( October 23)

Nothing that most people haven't read before.
However, there is the comment found regarding Inspector Helstone ( Helson) and Coroner Baker ( Baxter) that I thought was interesting at the end of the article.

Its claimed that both men, "ably seconded Sir Charles Warren's policy of marked incapability..."

I'm wondering whether there were reports found in British newspapers which are the source of what this Milwaukee paper claims.

Note also that only two weeks before in another Milwaukee newspaper, that paper claimed that London could speak of nothing else but the Ripper and the murders....but as you read in the first line of this ultra critical report, the people had "had begun to forget" about the crimes.
