  • [QUOTE=San Fran;345384]How can you be jealous of deprivation?

Jealous of a simple and relatively uncomplicated existence perhaps is what was meant , definitely not a new phenomenon . Although I believe the wrong word was used to express the true meaning of the...

Of course ! The cold .. how could I forget . I suppose the nature of the suicide simply feels odd , but then again I may have been reading to many of the " Druitt was a cover-up " stories . I still stand behind the other part of my theory that he could have given himself a paralytic , as to...

Yeah I know , but that wasn't exactly the point I was trying to prove . My point was that suicide by drowning seems a little odd when one is a strong swimmer ....

Personally ( and I feel quite strongly about this ) the only thing that still confounds me about Druitt's suicide is the fact that he did so simply by putting rocks in his coat pockets and letting himself drown . Not that that is strange by itself per se , but as most of you probably know , Druitt was...

    Hello Robert ,
To a certain extent I think you may be right , only he was quoted as protesting against ( presumably outside the proverbial debating room ) the resignation of Disraeli , the influence of Otto Von Bismarck , The Ottoman Empire , and a variation of other smaller...

I can imagine it being missing or lost ... seeing as it could ( if "it" even existed ) simply be a small pamphlet instead of a book or something like that . It seemed remotely possible to me considering he was a debater at heart and his political opinions are known to us as a result of that...

    Druitt Published ?

Just have a quick question for you all : Did Montague John Druitt ever publish anything during his lifetime ? By this I mean something he wrote and not something published about him . Would seem quite useful seeing as there isn't all to much known about him when it comes to opinions and such .

Intriguing idea there , although personally I don't think that Pizer would have behaved poorly when in police custody ( Seeing as he would later blackmail the Star newspaper into giving him quite a bit of money in return for not suing them for everything ) . I think that if the police used drastic measures...

I don't think torture and intimidation is a recognizable aspect of this kind of investigation , which is not to say that it didn't happen . If it occurred than I don't think it would have been maliciously intended per se , more as a means to keep the panic stricken district of Whitechapel from rioting...
