And when you have the physical version, THAT version will be appropriate for Kindle?

I just wanted to pop in and say that I greatly enjoyed Christer's book and wish him every success. Missing Evidence was a good, compelling documentary, but the book succeeds beyond that, in my opinion. Once everyone has read it I suspect the forums will be JUMPING.

  • RIP Robert

I'm terribly saddened to read this. I'm finding it hard to think back to a time when Robert Linford wasn't around. A calm, steady oak in the midst of all of us blustering weeds. I don't care who you were or who you think you were, if Robert's views on a matter differed from...

I don't believe I said Tabram was nude. She was not nude. But she was certainly exposed. The fact that Fogarty lost his sight so late in life (something I wasn't aware of) means he was even less used to being blind than I thought. Tabram's murder would not have been easy for a sighted man to pull off...

One-armed Liz was interviewed twice. Poll zero. The press was seeking her for months. They paid for interviews. One does not make money or gain fame by refusing paid offers from the press.

Like you say, people had favorite pubs. This would presumably include Poll and Tabram. Places where they'd be recognized. They were not. The names and places Poll gave were followed up. Led to nothing. Yes, the pieces of the puzzle can be interpreted that Poll was lying. They cannot be interpreted to...

Tabram was most likely a Ripper victims, so the killer we're looking for is not a one-off. But if we leave all that aside and just consider the Tabram murder alone, let's consider where it was at and what did and didn't happen.

A rather robust woman was overpowered, silenced, and laid...

    Gary,

I was thinking about that earlier. You and Ed would be at odds over Fogarty's candidature since what intrigues you so much is (besides his association with Pearly Poll) his history of violence. Evidently, Ed has no such requirement to consider someone a serial murderer. The...

Whether or not anyone takes Fogarty serious as a murder suspect, he was a real person, involved in some way with Pearly Poll, and the stuff you've mentioned is interesting. A timeline and links to posts with articles and documents would be greatly appreciated. Have fun with it.

    Howard and Gary,

The pubs would have been jammed. That's true. But Pearly Poll was reportedly well known in the area. Tabram probably not so much. But two frumpy, middle-aged women being plied for hours by two soldiers would be remembered by SOMEONE. Reid found nothing. And it wasn't...

    Gary,

Because it's sooooo spread around, I don't have a full picture of Fogarty like you and apparently Ed do. Same with other folks. I think that's why people are requesting a proper article. So all the relevant info is in a single, cohesive, easy to follow argument. Of course,...

Ed, you're correct, I misquoted you. I've got a cold right and probably shouldn't be replying to anything, but I'm stubborn. Having said that, you're taking the piss, I know you are. The press report from the Times which puts Tabram in a bar with soldiers was - as you know - subsequently shown to be...

I write a lot about this in BHM and will let this stand. Neil Bell read the manuscript of BHM prior to publication and suggested some changes, which I made. My handling of the inquest was not one of those changes.
