My great to the nth grandfather was a British soldier* who fought off the Fenian raids. More toward the Red River Valley area though. My dad has his medal.
*at the time he was 14 and a drummer boy/medic.

Man I love percocet. it's the only thing that truly works. I spent 4 weeks on morphine earlier this year, and I spent the whole time wishing I had percocet instead.

The thing about the book was, I found the parts about the White City and particularly the Ferris Wheel to be fascinating, while I found the bits about Mudgett to be kind of boring and distracting.

The movies they list from the 2000s aren't really Hammer movies--just sponging off the name.
